Farne Isles - July 2017

Nine divers and one non-diver visited the Farne Islands again for a long weekend 14 July to 16 July 2017. The diving was organised through Sovereign Diving, Andrew and Joan provided the first class Band B at Seahouses and Ron Skippered an excellent dive boat with loads of room and a lift, pure luxury.

The weather was good with two dives on all of the three days, the water temperature was a bit chilly especially for those in wet suits. The dive boat left from the slip in the morning at high water and returned to the steps at low water in the afternoon.  Friendly seals were seen on most of the dives, its always fun to see your buddy not aware of them.

Fifty dives were completed in all and the sites dived were:

Friday - The Hopper (south)

Friday - The Pinnacles

Saturday - The Coryton http://www.wrecksite.eu/wreck.aspx?12686

Saturday - The Knifestone,

Sunday - The Saint Andre http://www.wrecksite.eu/wreck.aspx?10465

Sunday - The Hopper (north).

Many thanks to John for organising the trip and to Sara for organising the sandwiches on the boat.
