Farne Islands July 2019 Eight divers, one snorkeler and seven non-divers visited the Farne Islands again for four days 11 July to 14 July 2019. The diving was organised through Sovereign Diving, Joan provided a first class Band B at The Olde School House Seahouses and Ron skippered the dive boat, a different boat to last year but still loads of room and a lift. The weather was good, sunshine with slight swell, with two dives on all of the three days, the water temperature was 12 deg C. The harbour wall was closed to the public due to renovations on the sea wall, divers could get limited access and we managed to use the high water slip on Friday, Saturday and for the return trip on the Sunday. Friendly seals were seen on most of the dives and coming back from the dive on the Saturday we managed to see a pod of dolphins. Fortyfour dives and four snorkel dives were completed in all and the sites dived were: Friday - Big Harcar Friday - Blue Caps Saturday - Gully to Blue Caps Saturday - Little Harcar Sunday - Longston End Sunday - Big Harcar Many thanks to John for organising the trip and to Sara for organising the lunches and meals.
